Mindanao Police Director, Chief Supt Juanito Vaño Jr., expressed satisfaction
over the over-all performance of the entire police forces in the region and
lauded them for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the midterm election
2013.
“It is my great pride and honor to
commend you for a job well done during the recently held 2013 midterm
elections,” Chief Supt Vaño in his message said.
“Your efforts have
immensely contributed in making the election successful and relatively peaceful
which manifests sincere and dedicated performance of your election duties.”
Despite
criticisms from some sectors, we did our share in making Zamboanga Peninsula
particularly Zamboanga City peaceful. I think we performed tremendously well,
Police Chief Supt Vaño said.
Our will and determination must be
stronger as we cannot afford to sit on our laurels and setbacks and let our
guards down, he stressed.
“Do your job
properly and I will back you up even to the detriment of my career, he assured
his men, as he warned them of his punitive and unhesitating actions against
those who will cause dishonor and humiliation to the police organization.”
Meanwhile, he guaranteed the
public that he will not hesitate to use all assets under him in order to attain
and maintain the intangible peace in the region particularly Zamboanga City.
He assured that the regional command
will be responsive to the call of the times and to the demands of the
community.
We assure you of our openness in the
pursuit of our profession, stressing that potshots taken by the public for the
lapses of PNP will be regarded as a challenge to the police force to strive for
a better police service, Chief Supt Vaño said.
