ALBARKA, BASILAN – The Tabak’s 18th and 32nd
Infantry Battalion troops while conducting patrol along the vicinity of
Barangay Bohe Piang, Albarca, this province encountered undetermined number of
Abu Sayyaf and kidnapped for ransom groups that resulted to the death of 2 military
officers and undetermined numbers of casualties on the part of Abu Sayyaf early
this week.
Maj. Alin S. Kannung of the 32nd Infantry Battalion
and Cpl. Julambri J. Sabri of the 18th Infantry Battalion died
during the almost 1-hour of gunfight with the
200 rebels more or less in Albara town, said
Col. Johriel Cenabre of the 2nd Marine Brigade.
Lt. Col. CJ Paolo P. Perez of the Philippine Army said the attack
were led by Basir Musana Jaamiri and Nurhassan Jamiri of the Abu Sayyaf group
that resulted the death of the two military officers and undetermined number of death on the part of the Abu Sayyaf
group.
