PAGADIAN City—A
40-year-old woman was shot accidentally by her husband last February 14 in
Barangay Muricay, this city, police said early.
Victim was identified
as Farida N. Mapait of the place.
Investigators said after
a squabble her husband identified as Liwa B. Mapait, 40 and a Barangay Tanod of Barangay Tiguma, this
city, left the place and while discharging his (suspect) firearm accidentally
hit the victim.
Farida was taken to
nearby hospital for treatment of gunshot wound.
Suspect as of press
time have not visited her wife at the hospital but only contacted her thru a
mobile phone.
Investigators are investigating
the case.
