Provincial Public Safety Company of Zamboanga
Sibugay in coordination with the Philippine Center on Transitional Crime and
the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission arrested Basir Sakilan, 41,
married and a resident of Bulawan, Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay during a manhunt
operation in the place.
PSupt. Rodrigo Maramo, safety company
commander, who led the operation.
Equipped with warrant of arrest, the
operatives arrested the suspect.
Basir Sakilan was the primary suspect
in the kidnapping of Mr. Reynaldo Drapeza last November 9, 2010 somewhere
between Kabasalan and Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay province while the victim was en
route on board a pump boat.
Victim was later released in April of
2011.
The suspect was brought and detained
at the provincial investigation and detective management branch in this
