Isabela City – Secretary Mar Roxas
of the Department of the Interior Local Government visited Basilan to attend
the 39th founding anniversary of the province last week (March
7).
In his speech, Roxas said that he is
surprised upon arriving the city because he thought that Basilan is very
delicate place and one of the war-torn areas of Mindanao.
The secretary drove his car around
the city with other local government just to give his supports for the
peace and development of the s province.
He emphasized the peace and order of
the province that needs a sincere support from the national government.
Roxas said hungry stomach creates
troubles and terrorism, so the government is now giving more assistance
to development to uplift the living conditions of the people in the place.
He also expressed appreciation over
the invitation by the local government as the keynote speaker of the founding
anniversary of the province.
In his
speech, ARMM Governor Mujiv Hataman said the ARMM government give a full
support to Governor Jum Akbar governance even before they have a little
bet misunderstanding.
The
governor expressed optimism everything he did may enhance development in the province.
“I am very
much happy now since I assumed the ARMM gubernatorial seat because I did
already what is good for the province,” the governor said.
He said he
settled different family feuds and problems to have realistic peace and order
in the place.
