ZAMBOANGA
CITY, Oct. 22 (PNA)-- Combined police and military operatives have arrested two
high-value target (HVT) drug personalities and seized illegal drugs, gun parts
and ammunitions in their continued anti-drug campaign in the province of
Zamboanga Sibugay.
Senior
Superintendent Romulo Cleve Taboso, Zamboanga Sibugay police director,
identified the arrested HVT drug personalities as Amil Sarani, 40, a drug
syndicate member and Roland Diong, listed as number six in the drugs watch
list.
Taboso
said Sarani was arrested in a law enforcement operation through implementation
of search warrant around 4:10 a.m. Friday in Purok 2, Barangay Minundas, Payao,
Zamboanga Sibugay.
Sarani
is a member of a drug syndicate operating in the municipality of Payao, he said.
The
arresting team sized from the residence of Sarani ammunitions, gun parts,
jacket and four heat-sealed plastic sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride
locally known as shabu.
Meanwhile,
Diong was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1:30 p.m. Friday in Barangay
Sta. Cruz, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Diong
is a HVT drug personality as he is listed as the number six in the drug watch
list of the police.
Operatives
seized from Diong’s possession three sachets of shabu, PhP400 marked money
consisting of two PhP200 bills, PhP3,000 cash suspected to be proceeds in the
sale of illegal drugs, a mobile phone and prohibited drug paraphernalia.
