Go visits fire victims here

ZAMBOANGA del Sur—Secretary Bong Go came and visited the fire victims in Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City, Tuesday, February 5.

It may be recalled that more than 200 houses were burned during a blaze week ago here.

He said the purpose of his visit is to extend assistance for the fire victims in the place.

The secretary extended cash assistance, goods, and other needs for the comforts of the victims now displaced because of the fire.

He also promised to extend school uniform for students who are also affected of the disaster.

In an interview Go told media that one of his programs is to improve the medical services of the country. “The country needs more hospitals,” he said.

He said there are 22 Malasakit Center installed in the entire the country and planned to create one here in Zamboanga del Sur for the accessibility of the people to health services.

The secretary also promised to improve the agricultural activities, educational system, housing programs where human development can be improved.

Elsewhere, 1^st District of the province Congresswoman Divina Grace Yu told media that they can deliver any form of assistance from the national if service center is raised right here in the province.

Yu said that she was so thankful when she heard of a report that Bong Go is coming to visit the fire victims in the place.

She said the staff of the secretary made an arrangement with her group to assist them for that particular occasion.
