DUMINGAG, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines—A
barangay kagawad of Marangan of this town was shot by a military auxiliary in
this place last March 5, police said.
Authority identified the victim as Francisco C.
Batoon, 42, married and a farmer.
Suspect was identified as Geny Lubemdina, male and
a member of the civilian volunteer organization.
Investigations showed that the victim was walking on
his way towards home when a suspect open fire on him without any words.
Batoon was wounded on his left knee and taken to a
hospital for a treatment of a gunshot wound.
The suspect fled to unknown direction after the
attack.
Police in this place are conducting investigation on
the case.
