Zambo Sur 'most wanted’ nabbed

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- A farmer tagged as the top most wanted person in the Zamboanga del Sur town of Buug was wounded as he tried to evade a police manhunt, a top police official said Saturday.

Chief Supt. Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office 9 (PRO-9) director, identified the arrested suspect as Dhats Manguda, 39, who is listed as number one most wanted person in Buug.

Licup said Manguda, who was arrested last Friday in Kumalarang town, Zamboanga del Sur, has a standing warrant of arrest for murder.

Manguda was shot in the leg when he resisted the policemen serving the arrest warrant.

He was taken to the police headquarters of Kumalarang town after being treated at a local clinic. (PNA)
